100 Nights of Remembrance Closing Ceremony 2014
100 Nights of Remembrance
Closing Ceremony 2014

The 100 Nights of Remembrance invites all to join in the celebration of their 10th anniversary of sounding Taps at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.

Since 2007 to the present, members of 100 Nights of Remembrance sound Taps at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH and the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH every evening rain or shine at 7:00 PM from Memorial Day through September 11th. After the 100 consecutive nights closing ceremonies, taps is then sounded once a week on Sunday afternoons at 1:00 PM rain, shine or snow until the opening ceremony each Memorial Day.

100 Nights of Remembrance is dedicated to honoring and paying the highest respect to those who have served in our Armed Forces and to all our fallen heroes. The public is welcome to attend these solemn ceremonies.

Attention brass players! Please join us Sunday, September 10th, to sound Taps and perform the National Anthem at the 100 Nights of Remembrance Closing Ceremony in Boscawen, NH. Sheet music for The Star-Spangled Banner is available on the 100 Nights of Remembrance website for various brass instruments including key of G horns (bugles), trumpet, trombone, key of F horn, and baritone.

On September 10th, brass players report in at the Maintenance Building between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM. Between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM, brass players will warm up and play through the National Anthem and Taps. Ceremony starts at 6:00 PM. Visit the 100 Nights of Remembrance website for the complete schedule.

About 100 Nights of Remembrance

The program started out as "An evening of Echo Taps" on Memorial Day 2006 when the Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps sounded Taps in rounds at the 20 white granite monuments that surround the grand flag. That summer, buglers sounded Taps at 7 PM about a dozen times. The 100 Nights of Remembrance was born on Memorial Day 2007 when the Drum Corps was joined by several other buglers for an opening ceremony that began them on their journey to sound Taps for 100 consecutive nights.

The organization is made up of volunteers from all walks of life. Players range from business professionals to laborers, young and old, male and female, students to retirees, former military and active duty and many more. Some of the buglers are professional musicians, some are amateurs and some have learned to play a bugle or trumpet just to sound Taps. All have come together with a common goal which is to show respect and honor for all Americans who have sacrificed and served our country honorably in any branch of the United States Armed Forces.

For anyone interested in the Closing Ceremony, participating in 100 Nights of Remembrance sounding Taps, or for any questions, please email Noel Taylor, Director of 100 Nights of Remembrance at
